A case of 6 whites for the discerning Wine Fiend. We've picked 6 whites that are sure to please. Wine like the Ciello that can be enjoyed with friends, accompanied by nothing more than a bowl of olives. Also, wine like the Château de Gaure that has the body and complexity to pair with food.
(PLEASE NOTE, CASE CONTENTS MAY CHANGE DUE TO AVAILABILITY OF CERTAIN WINES)
El Pinto Palomino - The wine is bright golden yellow, aromatically suggestive of dried apples and yellow cherries, has bonny acidity, chalky minerality and the requisite saline lick on the finish. (Biodynamic)
Green & Social Verdejo - Fresh, citrus fruit and a little melon perhaps. There is some body to the wine and it has length on the finish. Food friendly but happy to accompany nothing but your glass this is a class act from Rueda. Bright and fresh...a cracking drop! (Organic)
Gran Cerdo Blanco - This is a very glugable natural wine made from, mainly, Viura. Soft orchard fruit and medium bodied, it’s fresh and fun. It’s the embodiment of the non-conformist that created it and is in our wine rack waiting for just about any occasion (Natural)
Château de Gaure Chardonnay - Ripe nose - quince and yellow stone fruits. Quite powerful, textural, some ginger spice, spiced apple, plush and long with some floral notes when it opens up. Really serious for the price. (Organic)
Ciello, Bianco - Bags of tropical fruits, lemon and a nice amount of body. Grapefruit on the palate keeping it fresh but, as mentioned, nicely balanced with a bit of weight. This wine is unfiltered so can be quite cloudy, nothing unusual for this style of wine. Fantastic value entry level natural wine. (Natural)
Weingut Strehn, Weisser Schotter - Clean and aromatic nose; stone fruit, lime, floral notes, melon. Slightly rounded, creamy element to the palate, which is fragrant, grapey and peachy with white flowers. Long finish.(Organic)
