About Ciello
The estate is owned by the Vesco family who took over ownership of the one-hundred-hectare site around 2010. They modernised the winery and made sure that the vineyard was certified organic as soon as was possible. The vineyards are all situated between 150-300 meters above sea level allowing for a gentler ripening period in the hot Sicilian climate. The results are more elegant wines that express the land. Ciello Rosso is an excellent introduction to natural wines.
Tasting Notes
Light and funky fruit bomb this one, cherry and ripe plum. It’s natural so unfiltered and unfined and that’s not a bad thing! That just means more flavour, people! Try it slightly chilled and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
