About Hacienda Grimon
Run by the Oliváns family who have been making wine in Rioja for generations. Grimon is run by Paco and Eliseo Grimon, their 25 hectares of vineyards can be found in a small corner of the Rioja Alta known as Valle de Jubera. They don't see the need to be certified because it's the way they've always farmed, but they are organic. All their wines from entry level to the top are harvested by hand so only the best grapes are picked. The style of Grimon is very much on the fresher side of Rioja, as the brothers want their wines to show the character of the soil, the varieties and the climate.
Sweet Spice on the nose, a sign of the 24 months in American and French oak. The palate is marked by flavours of ripe red fruit, liquorice, citrus, vanilla and coconut. Beautiful length and a real showstopper for a modern thinking winery.
