One of our fantastic suppliers, Carte Blanche, has teamed up with local Languedoc legend Christophe Muret of Domaine de Castelnau to bring you their very own labeled Syrah. Christophe makes wines with purity and great character and, we think, at wonderful prices. To think he once made his money from growing melons! We are glad he decided to turn his hand to making wine.
Tasting Notes
A great nose of bright blackberry, violets, subtle mint and spice leads onto a smooth palate that has body but a freshness that makes it a very versatile wine. Great with food or as a glass with some savoury snacks this wine delivers exactly what it says on the label.
