About Domaine Camille Braun
Founded in the 60s in the village of Orschwihr, Camille Braun was known for his delicate treatment of the grapes (always hand harvested) and the exacting way he worked in the winery. When his son Christophe took over the Domaine in the 80s he knew that biodynamic viticulture was the path that the Domaine was destined to follow. The Domaine has 5 hectares of vineyards in around the town where it was founded. Christophe decided to purchase some grand cru parcels that he believed would give the Domaine the opportunity to produce wines that truly expressed the amazing terroir of Alsace.
Baked apple and aromatics abound on the nose, floral notes also. Fantastic richness on the palate with that cooked, almost creamy, apple coming through still. Great acidity balances everything and the length of the finish is long, oh my word, can you tell we like this wine?
