About Toques et Clochers
The Caves du Sieur d'Arques cooperative is based at Limoux in the Aude region of the Languedoc. Founded in 1946 this excellent cooperative has over 400 members today. The Société Des Producteurs de Blanquette de Limoux only changed its name to Sieur d'Arques in the 1990s. Since its creation, the company has continued the work of its remarkable “artisans”, keen to share their ancestral know-how with all those who love remarkable wines.
Tasting Notes
This Chardonnay is very much like a good Burgundy but without the big price tag. This is a rich, full bodied Chardonnay with typical flavours of a well made oaked Burgundy. Toasty, nutty and slightly buttery with a solid core of refreshing orchard fruit and lemon. It's just superb and a match made in heaven with richer poultry dishes.
